Hope Scholars After-School Program

Hope for Harvest Youth Center is committed to assisting and empowering K-12 youth in the Charlotte area.

Our team uses a combination of learning tools and activities to assist children in building academic skills outside of the traditional classroom setting. Activities include:

  • eLearning: Students are registered in our computer lab for age and skill-appropriate digital learning games and activities through Age of Learning, Inc. These educational software packages offer immersive reward-based games that improve engagement, motivation, and self-confidence.
  • In-Person Tutoring: Our team connects highly qualified volunteer tutors with local students so that Charlotte youth may receive free 50-minute homework help and tutoring sessions during each day of afterschool.
  • Recreational Play: In order to thank our students for their hard work, we offer games and free time in our youth center including the game room, craft room and gymnasium.

Clothing Closet

The Hope for Harvest clothing closet offers a variety of supplies including hygiene products, household goods and gently used clothing and shoes. The closet is available to all community members Monday through Friday, by appointment only.
