Admin/Public Relations, Event & Marketing Intern
Hope For Harvest is seeking an Intern who will support the operations of (Spring/Summer 2017) projects. Hope For Harvest’s Internship will include work from the headquarters Charlotte, North Carolina Office and potential travel if necessary to plan and execute designated tasks. The intern who fills this position should expect to learn the field from top to bottom, and will complete this internship ready to enter the workforce with tangible business & philanthropic job skills.
Suggested duration (4 months) *Applicable to academic scheduling and organization staffing scedhuling.
Monitor & Manage all forms of Social Media
Schedule and coordinate speaking engagements, appearances, photo shoots, and other special events
Assist writing press releases and other materials
Community Events Liaison
Screen phone calls
Assist with mailings, print production
Create interview preparation materials
Compile contact lists
Search for press clippings
Create or update databases
Greet guests and clients & customer services support
Students applying for this internship must be able to receive academic credit. Applicants must have strong communication skills and should be majoring in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or Journalism. Applicants should also have strong writing skills, demonstrate creativity, be detailed oriented as well as a solid understanding of social media.
Familiarity with microsoft Office software is highly suggested.
